CDG IRT co-chairs • One from Asia Pacific region • One from American, Middle East & European regions • Division is Dateline Pacific Ocean • Chairs must work for a Network Operator • Two year tenure • Eligible for re-election • Cannot serve more than two consecutive terms • A Network Operator cannot have a representative hold a co-chair position for more than two consecutive tenures • An individual cannot hold a co-chair position for more than two consecutive tenures.
Responsibilities • Solicit Network Operator priorities and set annual IRT goals and priorities • Set general direction and improvement of the IRT Quarter Meetings • Lead half of the IRT meetings • Create meeting topics, find speakers, review agenda • Lead the decision making in the plenary sessions • Review and approve meeting minutes • Lead conference calls with co-chair • Actively encourage operator to attend IRT meetings
Responsibilities (2) • Attend a minimum of seven face to face meetings per tenure
Nomination Process • Remaining co-chair will call for nominations to fill empty co-chair position during CDG IRT Face to Face meeting. • Nomination period will close after four weeks • Nominations for CDG IRT co-chair must be from a CDG member Network Operator • Nominations sent to remaining co-chair • In the event that both co-chairs resign at the same time an official will be nominated by the CDG IRT plenary
Voting • Only Network Operators can vote • One vote per Network Operator • Voting will be confidential • All Network Operators can vote irrespective of region
Other CDG IRT Positions • All working group leaders should be held to the same process and tenure as IRT co-chair positions • Two year tenure • Contestable positions • Working group leaders can be from any member of the IRT not just Network Operators.
