This allows businesses to stick with POS professional as their business grows • POS Professional is the ‘go to’ product in the range and you should go with POS Professional until it becomes clear the customer really only needs POS Lite or needs to make the jump to POS Enterprise.
Retail Point of Sale Range Retail POS Enterprise • Designed for those businesses that need greater scalability than Lite and Professional with the ability to read information directly out of the database. • Includes all Lite & Professional functionality including linking into QuickBooks, performing day to day transactions, and performing end of day processes while adding value features such as Table Manager, Customer Loyalty and Promotions backed by a SQL database. • The 2011/12 edition can cost as low as $629 subs and $1299 full.
Why Enterprise? • With QuickBooks pushing into higher markets we are starting to get more interest in the high end of town with our POS Products. This means we need to cater to a higher tier of customer • Retail Point of Sale Enterprise is powered by Microsoft SQL which allows us to build systems which can be used on demand and require no interruption to perform basic tasks such as backing the database up • By using the SQL backend, we are able to offer our clients the ability to build their own customised reporting, something that larger clients have requested for a number of years.
Who should use Enterprise? • Enterprise is designed for businesses which have high volumes of transactional data and multiple terminals. It fixes many of the issues we have seen with the PDB based databases • Enterprise also is not a closed database. You can build custom reports for clients. Those clients which need customised reports should look at enterprise • Anyone who has experienced database locking in the past should be looking at Enterprise.
Retail Starter Kit • In Australia we recently changed our hardware provider to Senor • Senor has an office in New Zealand and as such we now can have common hardware in the two countries. This is a bonus for both countries as support is easier • With this in mind we are investigating bringing the Retail Starter Kit package to New Zealand to offer to our customers and AC’s • For those who don’t know that is a cash draw, receipt printer, QB software, POS Software and scanner for a very low price (currently $999 AUD).
Reasons why Retail POS is the answer • We offer a fully functional appointment and table management system. The same as those who charge tens of thousands per year for their software • It integrates directly to an accounting system unlike the lower end products of our competitors • The price point for the software is low and allows retailers to get going for not much cost • Support for a high range of hardware and banking systems directly from the software
