In this teaching by Pastor Jim Rickard, he discusses the hindrances that can prevent us from fully trusting in the Lord. These hindrances include fear, hesitation, disobedience, doubt, and having a divided heart. By overcoming these hindrances, we can experience the blessings of God in our lives.

The Book of ProverbsChapter 3Prov 3:5-6Trust in the Lord with all your Heart, Pt. 4
A. Dread or Fear.Num 13:32-14:4Fear leads to wanting to return to some form of prior, false security.
B. Delay or HesitancyEx 4:1The opinions of opposition are irrelevant to the Lord, and should be to you too.
C. DisobedienceNum 20:8-12When God’s Word tells us to do one thing, yet we do another, we step outside of His Plan for our lives.
D. DoubtGen 17:17; Mat 6:25-34; 14:31; 21:21-22; Luke 1:18-20
Mat 14:31, “Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him (Peter), and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?””
Doubt - being uncertain or skeptical about something, undecided or unconvinced, disbelieve or distrust.
It is a feeling of not being certain about something, to think something is unlikely or probably not true or that it probably does not exist.
If we have doubt in God’s ability or His Word it is a demonstration of a lack to faith that will hinder you from walking in His plan.
Many believers say, if I do not see it, I will not believe it. That is called Empiricism.
They think life is based upon what they see, hear, and experience. John 20:25-29
Doubt creates indecision, insecurity, inhibition, instability, indifference, and indecisiveness.
The normal symmetry of the believer’s soul is the function of the Faith-Rest Drill based on having the B.R. in their soul. The split off from the normal symmetry is doubting.
Faith in God’s Word helps you to overcome any doubts you may be facing.
Rom 10:17, “So faith comes from hearing (GAP), and hearing by the word of Christ.”
Doubt sees the obstacles; faith sees the way.Doubt sees the darkest night; faith sees the day.Doubt dreads to take a step; faith soars on high;Doubt questions, “Who believes?” Faith answers, “I.”
Many times we miss out on the blessings of God because we surround ourselves with doubt. Rom 15:13; 1 Peter 1:8; 1 John 5:14
The “double minded” man is the believer who suffers from spiritual schizophrenia which is a characteristic of Christian degeneracy.
It means to have some true doctrine while inside God’s Power System, (GPS) plus having some false doctrine of demons stored in the right lobe; therefore, there is conflict.
Eph 4:14-15, “As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming (false doctrines); but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ.”
James 4:7-8, “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands (Rebound), you sinners; and purify your hearts (GAP), you double-minded.”
Only through rebound and PMA of Bible doctrine through the GAP is our soul purified from demon influence, which results in single mindedness of the believer. Rom 12:16; 15:5; 1 Cor 1:10; Phil 2:2
Phil 2:2,“Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.”
The split personality results in loss of Divine viewpoint and the reality of Bible doctrine where the believer is always unstable and never has tranquility of soul.
Psa 119:113-114, “I hate those who are double-minded, but I love Your law. You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word.”
James 4:7-8,“Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
