  4. What is ASSIST? A statewide data warehouse with student records from 10 community college districts and 3 universities … ….that allows institutions to track students as they move through Arizona’s higher education pipeline

How is ASSIST Used? • To analyze academic performance and course-taking behavior of transfers • How well did students perform in their first semester after transferring? • How well did students do in upper level courses after transferring? • What is the graduation rate of students who transferred?

  12. Why Use ASSIST? • Allows community colleges to track their students through the transfer process • Serves as a valuable decision support tool for institutional policy makers who need answers to help them address curricular reform issues
