  1. Industrial Uses of Caustic Soda Flakes

  2. Caustic Soda Flakes Caustic soda flakes or sodium hydroxide flakes is a white solid mass which is hygroscopic and highly soluble in water and alcohol. Caustic Soda Flakes is mainly used for: • Manufacturing of pulp and paper • Water treatment • Soap and detergents • Chemical production and petroleum products. Moreover, other applications include food, textiles, metal processing, mining, glass making, etc.

  3. Chemical Industry Caustic soda is used for basic chemical industrial production such as preparing metallic sodium & sodium dichromate, acid neutralization, manganese carbonate and production of organic fibers and resins.

  4. Textile Industry In textile, the caustic soda is mainly used for making chemical fibre, printing and dyeing clothes. The caustic soda is also used for producing manmade fibers

  5. Caustic Soda in Soap & Detergents Caustic Soda is an essential part of soap making. Both caustic soda and triglyceride are chemically transformed during the saponification reaction creating soap and glycerin.

  6. Petroleum Products Caustic soda flakes are used as a caustic wash for removing mercaptans and other sulfur compounds from petroleum products.

  7. Bleach Manufacturing Caustic soda is used in the production of silicates and metasilicates, silicas, phosphates, fibres, detergents, soaps, bleach and food processing.

  8. Water Treatment Here, it's used for water treatment to check if the water is acidic or not. The Sodium carbonate and Sodium hydroxide raise the potential of hydrogen in water to near neutral when injected into a water system.
