  1. TXU Electric Delivery • Two Issues for Discussion • 1.) In January 2007, TXU ED may convert from a 2 digit rate code to an 8 digit code. • 2.) Market notifications via the 814_20

Rate Code Conversion • 1.)TXU ED may convert from a 2 digit rate code to 8 digits • Conversion required for Underground Surcharges pursuant to city settlements. • TX SET supports up to 30 characters • Options for Market Notification if necessary • Submit 814_20’s to ERCOT, passed to CR’s • Provide CSV files to each CR • Provide a “conversion table” on TXU ED web-site

  3. 2.) Market notifications via the 814_20 • Current Market Capabilities for processing 814_20 maintenance transactions are limited to 25K to 50K transactions daily. • Each 814_20 transaction requires an 814_21 response (duplicates volume)

  4. Anticipated Requirements for TXUED only • Rate Expansion – approx. 3,000,000 accounts (weekend conversion) • On going conversion of AMR project over next 5 years • T & C’s requirements for duplicate address clarifications • Retirement of several hundred thousand temporary accounts • Annual Validation • Future rate and franchise changes

Short term Recommendation for Item 1 – Rate Conversion if necessary • Use of 814_20’s is not feasible due to current limitations at ERCOT • Propose that TXU ED post a conversion chart on our internal web-site to identify the rate code conversion • TXU ED will contact all CR’s and provide a CSV file for any request.

  6. Long Term Recommendation for Item 2, on going 814_20 processing • Establish a task force to: • Establish future volumes and processing requirements. • Evaluate current TIPCo project to determine capabilities • Determine options for increasing ERCOT processing • Explore other transactions or other Market Notification processes.
