  5. Team 6 Gold Scorecard 3 strikes may be assigned for loss of scorecard or for other offenses at the discretion of the teacher. Fighting, bullying, insubordination, offensive language (written, verbal, or gesture) and other serious offenses may result in an automatic office write-up. RBI (Respect, Behavior, Integrity) Caught demonstrating outstanding character! _______________________________________________

  9. Homework is VERY important! Homework is PRACTICE Most homework is graded on completion. (work shown) Students grade their own homework so they can MAKE CORRECTIONS and ASK QUESTIONS Homework assignments worth three points

Communication Arts • Reading – independent reading, class lit sets, and reading with small groups (balanced literacy) • The Cay as a whole class novel (4th quarter) • Writing (paragraphs, persuasive, personal narrative, constructed response questions, journals) • Poetry • Grammar, punctuation

  13. Important Class Information • Tuesday library day • Tuesday and Thursday independent reading days • Late homework is accepted and half credit will be given. • No textbooks are checked out to students.

  18. Important Information: • Composition notebooks – Students will keep them in room unless there is a test or work is not finished in class • Inquiry Learning – Students will learn as scientist. They will learning through lab work/science activities.
