Is about walking by faith not sight Experiencing God Abraham left every thing he know just because God asked him to. God didn’t even tell him where he was going, He just said go and Abraham went. God bless him and he became the father of a great nation Genesis 12: 1 The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.” God gave Moses his instructions from a burning bush and his obedience lead to the salvation of a nation Exodus 3: 4 God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” Noah built an ark even though he’d never seen rain. He just believed what God told him And did what He asked Genesis 6:22 Noah did everything just as God had command him.
God ask Jesus to come and He said yes even knowing what it would cost him Matthew26: 39 “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” All Jesus said to the disciples was come follow me and they did Matthew 4: 19 19“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him. 21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. We can either walk by faith and experience what God wants to do through us or we can walkby sight and fear and miss out It’s our choice
What is God’s Will 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, notwanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. This is God’s will that none should perish and to accomplish that he gave us the The Great Commission Matthew 28 16-20 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” You go to a petrol station to fill up the tank so you can continue your journey not to take the car home and leave it in the garage. It’s the same with church, it’s a place where we can come to fuel up and then go out to fulfill the great commission. Its not a place to just sit and get comfortable.
God has a role for each of us to play in His amazing plan of redemption. But it’s a walk of faith. We get to work along side the God of the universe. WOW He is our dad and He only has good plans for us. He wants to work in us, and through us, if we will allow Him to. But we need to realize He is God and we are not, this is His work and He knows exactly what needs to be done we don’t, so we need to trust Him just as Jesus did. Even Jesus said He couldn't do it alone John 5 19 Jesus gave them this answer: I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these. So our walk should be about letting God set the agenda for our lives and us following where He leads John 15 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
So when we announce what we think we can’t do in response to God’s initiative, we are actually saying more about our faith in God than we are about our own abilities. The fact is, either we believe God is all-powerful or we don’t. When you declare its impossible for you to do what God told you to do , you show your doubts about how powerful God really is. Its one thing to believe in God’s power, it’s quite another to live your life in obedient response to an all-powerful God. Knowing and doing God’s will depends on how well you know Him and His nature. Because God is Love, His will is ALWAYS best Don’t focus on your talents, abilities, and interests to determine God’s will. Instead, seek God’s will and watch Him equip you for whatever assignment He gives. Since Christ is Lord, our attitude should be: “Lord, I will do anything Your kingdom requires of me. Wherever You what me, I’ll go. Whatever the circumstances, I’m willing to follow. If You want to meet a need through my life, I am Your servant, and I will do whatever you ask.”
Out of your walk with God, he accomplishes His plans for our world. He wants your involvement but you cannot do it for Him. When you believe Him and do as He directs, then He will accomplish His work through you. God works through His servants. He is Lord, He chooses. Jesus’ invitation is for you to join up with Him - to walk alongside Him and follow His lead. Your life is in far better hands when you surrender it to God and His leading.
