  2. Emotions • Strong immediate reactions that you feel in response to and experience.

  3. Love • Love is a strong affection or deep concern for another person.

  4. Anger • Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure that can range from annoyance to complete fury.

  5. Hostility • Another feeling of displeasure. • It is a negative way of expressing and emotion.

  6. Fear • It’s a believe you are in danger. • It can make you break into a sweat, your heart rapidly, or your hands and feet go cold.

  7. Anxiety • Anxiety is often a fear of being hurt, or failing, or of losing something important to you.

  8. Jealousy • Jealousy is the fear of losing something you already have.

  9. Grief • Grief is a deep sorrow that is caused by the loss of someone or something.

  10. Guilt • Guilt is a feeling of having done something wrong.

  11. Repression • Repression, the painful thoughts or feelings are pushed away from conscious thought.

  12. Rationalization • Rationalization is the act of making an excuse for behavior.

  13. Compensation • Compensation is covering up faults or weaknesses by trying to excel in other areas.

  14. Projection • Projection is seeing your own faults or feelings in other people, even when they do not have them.

  15. Idealization • Idealization, allows people to see others as they want to be, but it keeps them from seeing others as they really are.

  16. Daydreaming • Daydreaming is the creation of make-believe events that seem more pleasant or exiting than the real world.

  17. Regression • Regression means acting less maturely than you usually would.

  18. Denial • Denial is the refusal to recognize reality.

  19. Sublimation • This is the replacement of undesirable impulses with acceptable behavior.

  20. Displacement • Shifting the feelings about one person or situation to an object or another person.
