  4. Step Ⅲ Listening • Listen to the tape and answer some T or F questions. • 1.Kelly has a cough. • 2.Kelly’s temperature is a little high. • 3.Dr Lee gives Kelly some medicine to take 3 times before meals. • 4.Kelly might be able to go to school on Friday. F T F T

  5. the 2nd listening • Get the Ss listen to the tape again. Then answer the 6 questions on Book 4A.

  6. Questions 1) Does Kelly have a cough? No, she doesn’t. 2) Why does she feel hot? Her temperature is a little high. 3) What’s wrong with Kelly? She has a very bad cold.

  7. 4) How often does Kelly have to take her medicine? Three times a day after meals. 5) What else must Kelly do? She must drink lots of water and rest. 6) What might Kelly be able to do on Friday? She might be able to go back to school.

  8. Step Ⅳ Drills • Get the Ss read the dialogue after the tape. • Practise in pairs. • Ask some pairs to act out the dialogue.

  9. Step Ⅴ Language points 看病用语 a. What can I do for you? b. take one’s temperature 量某人的体温 e.g.: The doctor is taking his temperature. 医生正在为他量体温。

  10. c. have got a cough = have a cough 患咳嗽 d. medicine 药（不可数名词） take this medicine 服药 e. three times a day 一天三次 注意：time 作“次数、倍数”讲是 可数名词。 Take this medicine four times a day.(这种药一天服四次)

  11. f. What about + n. / doing sth. 意思是：关于人/物/作某事怎么样 What about playing football? 去踢足球怎么样？ g. get/feel better 的意思是“身体状 况变得好一点” Do you get/feel better now? 你现在好些了吗？

  12. Grammar • 不定式作定语 放在名词或代词后的不定式通常是to do形式,该不定式作定语。常表示我们如何处理该名词或代词所指的事物。 I have something to say.我有些话要说。 We have got a new house to live in. 我们有新房子住。 Mother gave me something to drink. 妈妈给了我一些喝的东西。

  14. Step Ⅶ Summary Step Ⅷ Homework 1.Read the dialogue after school by heart. 2.Finish off all the exercises of this period in Book 4C.
