  3. Mat 20:26 "It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant,

  4. John 13:12 So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? 13 "You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am.

  5. 14 "If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 "For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.

  6. Love

  7. Joh 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

  8. A New Commandment? Lev 19:17 'You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may surely reprove your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him. Lev 19:18 'You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD.

  9. The Badge of Distinction Of Israel They Were Of The Seed Of Abraham They Were The Chosen People Of God The Were Given The Law The Temple The distinction of the Jew to the Gentiles were their religious rites and unique dress, but never their love.

  10. The Badge of Distinction For The Church Is To Be Our Love For One Another Christians are not to be known by distinctions of wealth, or learning, or fame; we are not to aspire to earthly honors; we are not to adopt any special style of dress or badge, but we are to be distinguished by tender and constant attachment to each other.

  11. It is to surpass all distinction of country, of color, gender, and station in life. We are all to realize that we are on a common level being redeemed by the same sacred blood, and were going to the same heaven We are to befriend each other in trials; be careful of each other’s feelings and reputation; deny themselves to promote each other’s welfare.

  12. “Love” The Greatest Apologetic Joh 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." “Love” The Greatest Evidence of salvation 1Jo 3:18 My children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

  13. 1Joh 3:19And in this we shall know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him, 1Jo 3:20 that if our heart accuses us, God is greater than our heart and knows all things. 1Jo 3:21 Beloved, if our heart does not accuse us, we have confidence toward God.

  14. “Love” Produces The Greatest Act Of Devotion Joh 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Joh 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

  15. A New Commandment “That You Love One Another” This was a new expression of love; and it showed the strength of attachment which we ought to have for Christians, and how ready we should be to endure hardships, to encounter dangers, and to practice self-denial, to benefit those for whom the Son of God laid down his life.
