  2. Pure • The word isn’t used too often in Scripture. The concept is. • Joseph and Potipher’s wife • David and Bathsheba. • Mercy seat of pure gold. • Undefiled, unmixed • We gain a “feel” for the word.

  3. Personal Purity • How is a quality (Purity) related to serving God (an action)? • 2 Peter 1:4; 3:14; Gal. 5:16, 24; James 4:3f • God won’t accept service from just anyone. Priests had to purify themselves before entering the temple.
