Exam dates • A2 • Unit 3 (G543) – Psychological applications (Health and Forensic) Tuesday 3rd June (PM) 2 hours • Unit 4 (G544) – Research methods, approaches, issues and debates. Wednesday 11thJune (AM) 1hr 30
Revision sessions • Extra revision sessions will be offered over the Easter holidays. • AS revision sessions with Mrs Harrison period 3 Tuesdays in the library period 3 Wednesdays in HF2. • A2 Revision sessions with Mrs Harrison in HF2 Thursday period 3. • Lessons will continue through study leave up to the date of the exam.
AS exam content • Unit 1 (G541) Research Methods. AS exam content • Unit 2 (G542) Core Studies (70% of AS) • This paper is broken into 3 sections: • Short answer questions, one on each of the 15 core studies. Answer ALL questions in this section. • Longer more in-depth questions on ONE core study chosen from 3. questions cover the aim, the methodology and evaluation of it, the results of the study, the ethical issues, the changes that could be made to the study and their impact. • Students select one question (from 2) in this section and answer all parts. A2 exam content • Unit 3 (G543) Options in Applied Psychology (50% of A2) • This exam is broken into sections. • Students will answer questions from the sections on Health & Clinical Psychology and Forensic Psychology. • Students answer 2 out of 4 questions in each section. A2 exam content • Unit 4 (G544) Research Methods, Approaches, Issues and Debates in Psychology (50% of A2) • This exam is in 2 sections: • Research Methods – students answer all questions after selecting a hypothesis. Students must design and evaluate a piece of psychological research to investigate their chosen hypothesis using the method SPECIFIED ON THE EXAM. Students answer ALL questions in this section. • Students select 1 question from a choice of 2 and answer ALL parts of the question.
