Bulk scalar field in RS I model: -Walter D. Goldberger and Mark Wise Phys Rev D 60, 107505 (1999) (RS I metric ) free scalar field in the bulk: m is of order KK decomposition: effective four dimensional KK modes: the light modes have masses in the TeV range
I also consider that if there is a scalar field on our brane and an interaction term, assume • The authors in Reference [8] mentioned an simple interaction form : use Reference [8] - Kazuya Koyama, Andrew Mennim, and David Wands Phys Rev D 72, 064001 (2005)
After field renormalization, the effective four-dimensional action is : • (problem?) The mass matrix for our goal:
Discussion • I considered a toy model that there exists a bulk scalar field and a brane scalar field, and also an interaction between bulk and brane, but the mass matrix (20) might not achieve our goal. • I should also consider whether the scalar field affect the geometry . • If we want to relate the quintessence with inflaton, the evolution of the universe should be considered.
