  4. Effects on People • Used for fur production • Used for shooting practice • People eat Nutria • People need the marsh land for their jobs and to build homes

  5. Effects on Ecosystem • The ecosystem has lost marsh land • This is home to the muskrats, water fowl, and birds therefore they have lost their habitat thanks to Nutria

  7. Why are they Successful? • They are successful because of their small habitat and the fact that they have eaten their way thought our marsh lands.

  8. Nutrias Issues for the Future • The people are trying to get rid of all the nutria left • The options are get rid of nutria there will be more marsh land • If they don’t they are putting habitats in danger and there will not be anymore marsh land
