  2. About the school: Here at Selsdon Primary School we pride ourselves in being the best that we can. With our outstanding staff we ensure that every child reaches their full potential ,strives for success and reaches for the stars! Furthermore, the lead school governor stated “ Selsdon is a school which promotes friendship and encourages pupils with excellent care to help them succeed!”

  3. Subjects: At Selsdon we try to help our students with all our might. We are very fortunate to have specialist Physical Education (PE), a fluent speaking French specialist and a fantabulous music specialist. We also teach a range of different subjects including: Maths, English,Science, History and many more!

  4. Expectations: At Selsdon we expect that every pupil to be dressed smartly and correctly at all times in their specially made uniform. However, we also expect that every child puts in 100% in all their work, respects everyone, always concentrates in their learning, does not hurt anybody physically or verbaly and takes care of everything in the school is also what we expect of them. “ Selsdon has inspired my children to learn!” reported Mrs. Reynolds.

  5. Excursions: To extend our learning outside class, we enjoy going on numerous trips. We have two well supplied mini buses which are owned by the school itself. Also, we travel on trips including: Kings Wood which is a resedential week for Year 6, The Golden Hinde, Bluebell Railway, Godstone Farm, The National Gallery and many more!

  6. Canteen: Our school provides healthy, hot meals everyday for pupils followed by a nutritious pudding such as: oven baked cakes, yogurts, fruit, smoothies,ice cream and much more! We also have qualified cooks which make sure every child gets their five a day!

  7. Extra-Curriculum-Activities: We have many extra activities as well as Football, Netball, Squash and Tennis Club ( All run by a specialist!) Additionally, for those looking for more edifying clubs we also have Chess and Science club. Moreover, our music specialist Mrs. Burcombe also holds clubs including: Cello, African Drumming, Guitar, Piano and many more!
