MTI Core Philosophy • High school diploma is a by product of a Career education. • Post-secondary articulations in a seamless model. • Academies are determined by analysis of local, regional, state, and national employment needs. • Provide training that permits students to enter the work force at various access points. • Direct marketing provides students/families access to career planning. • Embracing the 3 R’s - Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships • Nationally recognized industry certifications and standards. Business drives the standard and expectation for proficiency.

How is this different? • 66% of Florida’s current academies result in NO certifications. • Business driven and product driven • NOT process driven • Result in marketable skills • HS Diploma has become questionable • National certification • Academy driven by demand and location • NOT what’s available (instructor, equip. etc.)

  9. Who is Eligible? • Interested in “2 for 1” outcome. • Students 16 years of age or older. • Willing to follow Dress Code. • Limited transportation • GPA, FCAT, attendance, discipline, letter of intent, and parent permission.
