  2. What is Digital Security? • Digital Security : Gives individuals the freedom to embrace the digital lifestyle – to confidently engage in everyday interactions across all digital devices. Digital security affects all aspects of the digital lifestyle, which includes computers and the internet

  3. Learning how to: • Safely secure your privacy and account settings on the internet (via: Facebook and Twitter) • Teach about the consequences of inappropriate posting to social media platforms

  4. Facebook: privacy settings • Drop down arrow by “Home” on upper right hand corner • Click “privacy settings” • Manage the privacy of your status updates, photos, and information by selecting who can see it (public, friends, or customs) • Remember: the people you share with can always share your information with others • Allow users to be blocked from seeing your Facebook page

  5. Twitter: privacy settings • Click on tool icon on upper right hand corner • Select “settings” • Manage your account settings and type in your: username, email, language, etc. • Protect your tweets: select who can follow you and who is allowed to see your tweets

  6. Lesson to learn • It is important you secure your Facebook and Twitter accounts on the internet because anyone can access your accounts and mess around with it. Everyone has their own privacy rights and if it is not protected over the internet, hackers can get in and learn everything about you, your family, friends, and where you live, etc.
