Summary • Me, Just Different tells the story of Skylar Hoyt, a high school senior who is sick of her wild lifestyle. But if she decides to change, she may lose her friends and her spot in the “in” crowd. Despite the downsides, Skylar decided to start attending church and her new life was beginning to feel normal. But when Skylar discovers her sister’s big secret, her world begins to unravel at the seams. The only person who seems to understand is her annoyingly friendly neighbor, Connor. But soon after her friends backstab her and her family doesn’t seem to care anymore, Skylar realizes what a great friend Connor really is and that maybe, he is the only one who can accept the newly reinvented Skylar Hoyt.
Me, Just Different was a really good book and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great teen book about love, loss, and what it means to be a true friend.
My Rating • I give this book a 4 out of 4.
