SCRAMBLED EGGS Here are a few tips you should know when using the Electronic Grade Gathering (EGG) function. If you are using the cut and paste feature to enter marks or exam grades, the data must be integers. HSST and the EGG upload process are designed to accept only integers. The cells in the EGG spreadsheets are designed to display integers. If a non-integer value (i.e. 95.7) is entered in the cell, it will appearrounded off to the nearest integer on the spreadsheet (96), however the actual value is stored by Excel in the cell. Non-integer data will not be accepted by the EGG upload process. If data is being “pasted” from a spreadsheet and the data value was determined by a formula, please make sure that you use the “Special Paste” feature in Excel. It will paste the value, NOT the formula. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE LEFT JUSTIFIED. When using a letter grade, please do not have any leading spaces. This also includes grades of ZERO “0” and Comments.
