Questions to consider.. • What aspects of our culture, material and non-material, are displayed in this exhibit? • Are we socialized to mass consume? How? • What does this tell us about our social structure? Think about the relationship between structure and agency - how are our individual choices constrained by social structure?
Questions to consider.. • Why is it so easy to minimize or not consider the consequences of our mass consumption? • Take note of these questions and try to formulate some answers; at the very least jot down your impressions as you will likely have a future writing assignment related to this exhibit.
