  3. 1- What is the central theme of Surah Al- Hujurat? The surah deals predominately with the social ethics

  4. 2-The first Ayah of Surah al-Hujurat embodies various shades of meaning. Elaborate.

  5. 3- Bring out the literal and figurative meaning of the second Ayah. • “O believers raise not your voice---------“ • The literal in the case of the prophet’s companions and • The figurative for them as well as for the believers of later times. Implying that one’s personal opinion must not be allowed to over rule the clear- cut legal ordinance and moral stipulations promulgated by the prophet SAW. Those ordinance is described as the sunnah of the prophet.

  6. 4- What reverence should a believer show towards Allah’s Messenger?

  7. 5- “ Surely those who call you from outside……” this Ayah relates in first instance to the prophet, and it may be also taken to apply to another supreme. Explain • While this Ayah relates in the first instance to the prophet , it may also be taken to apply to any supreme leader of the community (amir al-Mi’minin) who acts as the prophet’s successor and rules in his name . to shout aloud to your leader from outside his apartment shows disrespect for his person, his time and his engagement.
