  3. Germs can be BAD! • Where are germs? • EVERYWHERE! • When you have too many germs, what happens? • You get SICK!

  4. Stop those germs! • How can we protect ourselves from germs? • Eat healthy foods and drink a lot of healthy drinks • Stay active • Keep yourself and your environment clean!

  5. There are lots of different types of germs!

  6. Experiment #1: • Germs in our environment • There are germs all over our classroom… and we’re going to prove it!

  7. Germs are EVERYWHERE!

  8. Experiment #2: • I need 8 volunteers • Now go shake everyone’s hand! • Now look at your hands • Each color is a different type of germ • How many different germs do you have?

  9. Experiment #3: • Now we need to get rid of our germs! • 4 students get a tissue • 4 students get hand sanitizer • 4 students wash with only cold water • 4 students wash with warm water and soap • 3 students just stay where you are • What worked best?
