  2. Three Imperatives of the Ambassador program

  3. 1. Provide Christ centered activities for the 16-21 age group young people of the Church. • 2. Inspire and motivate them to utilize their talents within the context of the Seventh day Adventist tradition. • 3. Nurture their commitment to the Lord and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

  4. Proceedure for Pilot Program • Conference Director selects the Pastors who will determine the two churches for the pilot program. • Conference Director discusses the program with the Pastor. • The Pastor discusses the program with his Elders and Church Board. • The Pastor presents the program to the church. • The Board selects the Director for the program and establishes the executive committee.

  5. Proceedure for Pilot Program, Contd.: • The Executive committee will meet and determine the procedure leading to the organization of the program. • The Committee will determine the time and place of meeting and which foundation of the Ambassador program to be initiated.

  6. The Seven Foundations of the Program-1 • Leadership development through such curriculum as the master Guide and AY Leadership

  7. The Seven Foundations of the Program-2 : • Community Outreach development through service and emergency preparedness training

  8. The Seven Foundations of the Program-2 : • Spiritual development through traditional and innovative evangelistic outreach. SALVATION and SERVICE

  9. The Seven Foundations of the Program-4: • Lifestyle vocational/career development through specialized multi-vocational training.

  10. The Seven Foundations of the Program-5: • Friendship skills development through specifically focused socials and pre-marriage seminars

  11. The Seven Foundations of the Program-6: • Character and personality development/awareness through outdoor/high adventure programming.

  12. The Seven Foundations of the Program-7: • Life enrichment development through use of the advance Honor levels as developed in the AY Honor Handbook.

Recommended Foundations to Initiate the Ambassador Program • Community Outreach development through service and emergency preparedness training • Friendship skills development through specifically focused socials and pre-marriage seminars • Character and personality development/awareness through outdoor/high adventure programming. • Life enrichment development through use of the advance Honor levels as developed in the AY Honor Handbook.

  14. The initial meeting at the Church The Director of the program will outline; • The program for at least the 1st six months Have a special motivational speaker 2. Have the participants enroll in the program • Announce the time place and activity for the next meeting.

  15. Main Resource Material for the core content of the program 1. The AY Honor book 2. The materials developed by the Division 3. Materials from the local field, approved by the Division, may be utilized by the Ambassador Ministry in order to strengthen the program.

  16. Recommended Inclusions • It is recommended that the Educational Tours be an integral aspect of this program • As best as possible, Technology should be heavily utilized in this program
