Summary • Study the works of English Aboriginal writers • Focusing on the understanding on the true aboriginals • Why it is important to study Canadian Aboriginals • Study the problems aboriginals face in society • Analyze literary texts and the media works • Gain appreciation for aboriginal writings as well as culture and their traditions

A Final exam is required as well as an ISU and a culminating activity • You learn just as much if not more than you would in any other English course • You do not study Shakespeare • All assignments focus around an aboriginal aspect which is a great learning experience and very enjoyable • You become more open minded and view Indians (Aboriginals) in a whole new light
