To gain success… • A ‘no comprise’ approach is taken – targets resources to those sports/athletes capable of gaining medals • Individual sports all allocated funding through the World Class Performance Pathway Programme World Class Performance Pathway – the template by which support is provided to elite performers, depending on how close they are to winning medals at international level

6. In 2006… UK Sport Sport Councils Retained responsibility for the development of their own performers up to World Class Performance Pathway standard. High performance pathway at UK & England level including: • World Class Development Programmes • TASS schemes • Athlete Personal Awards • English Institute of Sport
