  7. 4.1 General requirements, End-user applications • Overview • Presented in slides 6 to 12 of [TD_09_ATIS_NGN_Framework_overview] • Interconnection • Convergence (fixed/mobile/enterprise) • Access network criteria • Infrastructure evolution & Legacy services • End-to-end transparency • Services guiding principles (for converged networks) • Definition of NGN Interconnection requirements suggested as an area of cooperation Meeting on “NGN Framework” – SUMMARY -

  8. 4.2 ATIS NGN Network service enablers • Presented in slides 13 to 18 of [TD_09_ATIS_NGN_Framework_overview] • QoS • TISPAN_NGN R1 focuses on Access QoS • End-to-End QoS will be addressed in TISPAN_NGN R2 • Presence and Personal profiles • TISPAN suggested that ATIS examine some of the work currently being done in TISPAN, 3GPP and OMA Meeting on “NGN Framework” – SUMMARY -

  9. 4.3 Underlying Network/Support capabilities • Presented in slides 19-20 of [TD_09_ATIS_NGN_Framework_overview] • Security • Need to protect access to both network and subscriber information. • Main issue is authentication and integrity at all levels. Confidentiality is less important. • There is an additional threat to telecommunications from terrorist attack. Need for authentication of the originator (or of the access). Meeting on “NGN Framework” – SUMMARY -

  10. 4.4 Business model driven requirements • Presented in slides 22-30 of [TD_09_ATIS_NGN_Framework_overview] • 4 Business drivers: • New Retail revenue • New Wholesale revenue • Cost reduction for existing services • Regulatory requirements • 3 Keys for success • Customization through User Profile • Transparent third Party providers • Seamless service delivery Meeting on “NGN Framework” – SUMMARY -
