Introduction of the FAS Proof of Concept (POC)
Increased collaboration with industry was highlighted at September meeting
Mr. Kip Hawley, TSA Administrator, stated that the organization is committed to having increased interaction with industry participants through forums such as the ASAC and ASAC Working Groups
With this in mind, TSA is collaborating with the FAS Working Group to expand the Working Group’s scope and membership
Today the FAS Working Group update will include a
FAS Proof of Concept iterative methodology overview
FAS Proof of Concept Iteration One update
Review of and approval request for the proposed expansion of FAS Working Group scope
3. FAS Proof of Concept Methodology Overview An iterative approach should be implemented within the FAS Proof of Concept because it: Enables results and insights from previous iterations to be fed into subsequent iterations using a results-based model Allows the process to fully maximize additional information, issues, concepts, etc. in an opportunistic manner Offers a high level of flexibility Provides for the ability to develop an operational pilot at any time Recommendations and results from the iterations will direct the movement of the POC to a operational pilot
