A commitment to ongoing Inclusion • Overall permanent exclusions still remain low • Fixed term exclusions falling in secondary schools and primary schools. • Increasing number of pupils involved with B&TS • Primary Provisions dealing effectively with a significant number of vulnerable pupils. • PM4B enabling schools to become better prepared to support vulnerable students. • 2 Primary BSAs deployed at all times. • PRUs judged to be good or outstanding
Challenges • Large numbers of secondary school students are on alternative programmes (out of school), which raises sustainability and funding issues. • Increasing number of vulnerable pupils in primary schools with complex needs. Primary provisions always full. • Difficulties seem to be arising earlier both in the primary and secondary phases • The Behaviour Challenge
I told the Head I couldn’t do detention as I had detention-deficit-disorder and she bought it!
