STEM Education • Current Crisis deepening as economy improves • SAE has demonstrated success with current spectrum of programs (AWIM, CDS, Professional Development, seminars, credentialing, etc.) • 2014 Focus Areas: • Review current curricula for relevancy to projected needs, plan and make necessary adjustments • Examine governance alternatives for SAE Foundation • Grow public recognition that SAE provides the solutions • Seek new funding pathways while expanding current ones

Connected Vehicles - Approach • 2014 • Q1-Q2: • Collect and assemble “Connected” roadmaps from the industry sectors • Organize into coherent groupings • Q3: • Convene 2-3 representatives from each industry sector • Coordinate with regular sector strategic planning meetings • One-day review of roadmaps • Identify potential cross-industry opportunities • Q3-Q4: • Develop potential SAE actions/products • Review with involved Operating Boards and Committees • Incorporate direction/actions in Strategic Plan, Business Plan, functional plans per standard processes
