Vision/Mission TRUSD Vision To inspire each student to extraordinary achievement everyday TRUSD Mission An unwavering focus on powerful and engaging learning experiences that prepare students for college, career, and life success Curriculum and Academic Achievement Mission To provide the support necessary to accelerate achievement for all students while eliminating the achievement gap

Goals Goal #1 – By June 2011, TRUSD students’ 10th grade CAHSEE exam passage rate will increase 7 percentage points annually to reach at least 80% • By 2011 each pre-K through 8 school will increase the number of students demonstrating pre-requisite skills to pass the CAHSEE exam, as measured by proficiency on STAR Goal #2 – By June 2011, TRUSD student graduation rates will be commensurate with county rates (using the county’s calculation method), with A-G requirements met • By 2011 each pre K – 8 school will increase students demonstrating pre-requisite skills for A-g as measured by proficiency on STAR • By 2011, TRUSD will increase students meeting A-G requirements • By 2011, each secondary school site in TRUSD will increase the number of students graduating with A-G requirements met

  8. Goals Goal #3 – By June 2011, TRUSD will improve proficiency by annually meeting proficiency targets, as measured by the California Standards Test. TRUSD will make significant progress toward eliminating achievement gaps pre-K – adult • By 2011, TRUSD will increase the percentage of African-American, Latino-American, Southeast Asian-American, and students living in poverty scoring proficient or above in all tested areas on STAR, each year, by a measureable percent, until they exceed county rates Goal #4 – TRUSD will use data for proper/early identification of students who are struggling or need additional challenges Goal #5 – TRUSD will improve options for students pre-K to adult including alternative settings
