  6. English ZoneSpeaking Rules • Teacher gives instruction in English • Ask your mentor for translation. • 8th – • 7th – • 6th – Each student has 4 daily points. Keep them and they add up by the end of the week to 20 points = dip into the bag of candy! Be a weekly Star of the Class.

DAILY: • Enter room and sit quietly. • Sharpen pencils before class. • Take your seat. • Folder mangers • Folders + handouts • Place all binders & personal items under desk. • Copy agenda • Complete warm-up • If absent, ask your mentor for assignment. Closing and Dismissal of class: Managers will collect folders and books. Everyone else remain in seat and quiet. Room Monitor – clean up Teacher will dismiss class on time when students are seated and quiet. Daily Procedures

Front Cover – Name, Unit #, Class Period • Inside: Daily Agenda Sheet • Order of items behind the weekly agenda: • The daily assignments – in date order • If you are absent one day, skip that page & put absent/need to make up. • Folder Checks – every 2nd Friday. Friday. 5 days = 5 participation points. 10 days = 10 participation points Folder Procedure

Accumulative: • Class disturbances: • Talking when teacher is instructing. • Talking without permission • Out of seat without permission • Throwing objects • Daily Consequences: • 1 warning – name in conduct log • 2 warnings – phone call home • 3rd warning – phone call home and detention or removal from class • If removed from class 2 times = referral • Referrals = U in conduct Classroom Conduct – School rules always apply.

  13. TARDY PROCEDURES: • Be on time to class • Enter late – sign the tardy slip • Do not disturb the class when you enter. • Consequences: • 1 Warning • 2 Parent call home • 3 Detention/call home • 4 Referral+U in Conduct • Sign in Log when arriving late to class. TARDY POLICY

AGENDA is your pass out of this class • No locker passes • Raise hand/bring Agenda to teacher to sign on today’s date. • Upon return, do not disturb class when returning to seat. • Passes out: • Not during Teacher instruction time • Not during “dead time” • 1st 15 min & last 15 min of class. Passes out of class
