  2. -5 a b² COËFFICIËNT LETTERDEEL EENTERM = product van een rationaal getal en letters. • letters bevatten geen negatieve exponenten • coëfficiënt noteer je vooraan (“1” niet noteren) • letterdeel: volgens volgorde van het alfabet

  3. -5ab² + 3a²b² - 7 VEELTERM = som van eentermen • hoogste exponent in een veelterm bepaalt de graad.Vb: 2x³ - 5x² + 8x – 12  de graad = ____ • Veeltermen rangschikken  zie oefeningen 3

  5. 3a + 5a = 8a Je kan alleen gelijksoortige eentermen optellen of aftrekken. Dus: eentermen met hetzelfde letterdeel. 4a² + 7a² = 11a² 6a + 5b 6a + 5b = 5a² + 7a³ 5a² + 7a³ = 12ab 4ab + 8ab = 5a²b + 7ab² = 5a²b + 7ab² 7b + b = 7b + 1b = 8b
