What is it ? • Vesicoureteral Reflux is when muscular organ whom stores the urine becomes hollow before it releases it. This cause the urine to flow back to the uterus straight into the kidneys.
How do you get it ? • This disease is most seen in children. If one of your parents or even siblings have an irregularly the chances increase. This disease is more commonly found with male toddlers due to the pressure they have to urinate. Offspring's that are born with spina bifida because of neural tube can develope this.
What happens to the system? • The ureter gets pressured when it urine is being released. The kidneys start to swell due to the damage caused by the urine it receives. This causes children to start wetting their pants and even dribbling.
Does the body try to fix itself? • The body may try to heal itself , but won’t have much success. It will all depends in how advanced the level are in. All the body can do is seek medical help.
What medicines should you take and is it curable ? • Children older than 2 months old are able to take Bactrim , Naldixic acid, and Thrimethroprim , etc . These are some of the medicine best know to be taken for this disease. Another option would be to under go surgery and help fix the ureter . As time passes this disease will disappear as long as all that is required is done.
