INTRODUCTION • Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, the duo group is famously known as `the boys` in the fashion industry. • The duo was the first to bring out their collection at Harrods. • They are best distinguished for reinventing traditional Indian arts of chikankari and zardozi withcontemporary style.

They had made there mark internationally in countries like UK,US,beginning with the range of exclusive shawls that are sold under the brand name“Shakira Caine”. images.jpg • In December 2003 Abu-Sandeep were images.jpgpresented with the National award for best costumes for `Devdas`. • The duo had their retail stores in cities like Bombay, Bangalore and New Delhi.

BACKGROUND • Abu Jani was born in the metropolitan city of Mumbai in a Muslim family. • He has worked with designer Xerxes Bhartena for five years and assisted him in designing costumes for a number of films. • He had also done freelancing and designing for some music and ad videos • Spent his crucial time of life in an export house where he actually sharpen his inner strength and learnt traits of designing and embroidery.

Sandeep Khosla belongs from well educated family of Kapurthala. • Sandeep too worked and learnt traits of designing under designer Xerxes Bhartena, who gave Abu jani his first break in world of designing • He had also worked in an export house for some years where he acquired the knowledge of different fabrics and garment manufacturingprocess.

9. Abu jani& Sandeep khosla launched their signature collection called “ MATA HARI”. It reflects their inner taste of mixing conventional with contempary style highlighting zardozi and chikankari work. SIGNATURE STYLE

10. In 1989,they launched their designer label called “JASHAN” which was previewed at charity function in London. Style gurus had revolutionised the concept of weddings by making ivory an Indian bridal colour.

11. Their creations have draped the bodies of international personalities like  Dame Judi Dench and Victoria Beckham. Whereas in bollywood, they are among favourite designer of celebrities like jaya and Amitabh bachan and shahrukh kahan CLIENTELE

Fashion shows • In 2005 fashion show the collection was all in white and the detailing give to the garment give garment multi dimensional feel which are Known for their love of extravagance, they had large Swarovski hanging from the bodies. In 2006 fashion show the collection are inspired by desert. It had a palette of sand, sky, salt, mica, morning mist and mirages. Soft silhouettes in light fabrics had the glints of mica, discreet patchwork and a pale play of pattern against pattern. Evoking shadows formed by light to create subtle embellishments with simple elegance.

14. 2010 fashion show • They Present ALMOST 24 At Delhi Couture Week 2010 Grand Finale on July 25, 2010. They are known to break the rules. And instead create ones that set the bar for the Industry. Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, returned to rule the ramp after a four year hiatus, with “ALMOST 24”, which formed the finale of Couture Week on the night of Sunday, 25th July, 2010. The duo will complete 25 years in the business in 2011, and the title was an ode to this landmark.

15. Abaan- multi coloured floral thread embroidery mounted on a trellis of geometrical bling. Sonaar- an homage to ‘Sonar Kella’, the book and film by Satyajit Ray, which weaved the surreal tale of a palace of fantasy constructed entirely from gold. Dramatic, it featured sequins arranged like liquid metal in hues of gold, copper and bronze
