MBChB Programme - Curriculum • 2001 – Introduction of an “Integrated, system-based curriculum” • Objectives: to ensure that our students obtain the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes for professional medical practice and life-long pursuit of medical education. Our graduates are expected to be able to: • deliver effective and holistic care to their patients • communicate effectively, compassionately and with good attitude with their patients • make decisions rationally and ethically when faced with conflicting choices in the management of patients • critically appraise available evidence so that they can apply the best treatment to patients • have the skills for life-long learning to equip themselves with the new knowledge required for the provision of the best possible care to their patients
