Traditional Repair Method Maintenance & Repair Contracts - Customers sign maintenance and repair contracts with the original vendors during the time of equipment purchase. What happens when a unit gets faulty? • Faulty Unit is collected from the field by the customer’s staff and sent to the original vendor for repair/replacement. How is the performance? - Time Consuming Expensive Process with minimum customer interaction. No know-how transfer
Bottlenecks of Traditional Method • Costly fault repairs done by the original vendors • Repair costs and margins not transparent to the end customer • Many maitenance contracts enforce replacement instead of repair • Many vendors have only one repair center globally • Return time for repair of any unit is typically not less than 8-12 weeks • If the fault is not corrected in the first repair round, the same repair process starts all over again for the same unit. • Due to time consuming repair process, customers are obliged to buy more and more spares everyday • This also brings larger warehouse requirements to keep the spares • In parallel, more staff is required to manage the spares • Huge spare parts costs • Expensive warehousing and storage costs • Logistical and resource costs YOU ARE SPENDING MORE AND GETTING LESS!!! Glotech Repair Process Electronic Hardware Repair Process Maximum 3 weeks A sample non-faulty unit from each type of unit is provided to CellTech by the customer for a period of 1 week maximum 3. Faulty components are identified and replaced under full ESD protection. 1. CellTech stores the i-v characteristics of the non-faulty unit and prepares a price quote 2. When a faulty unit is provided, i-v characteristics of faulty and non-faulty units are compared Overall process does not take longer than 3 weeks including transportation! Huge Time Savings = Less Spare Parts = Less CAPEX investment
