  2. Thesis Statement The Titanic is famous because it was the largest ship ever built at the time and thought to be unsinkable but on it’s first voyage it sunk.

  3. What was the Titanic built for? "...to give White Star and edge in Atlantic passenger trade..." luxurious way for the rich(and poor) to travel

  4. Who created the Titanic? - J. Bruce Ismay and Harland & Wolff shipbuilders created the plan and built it.

  5. Why did they think the Titanic was unsinkable? • "The Titanic's shear size gave an impression of invulnerability. • The White Star line never actually claimed Titanic was unsinkable. • This line was made popular by the press

  6. Who was the captain? • The captain was Captain Edward J. Smith. He had more then 40 years of experience.

  7. Who's fault is it? • The two radio crew members did not receive the last iceberg message. One of them was asleep, the other was to busy with passenger messages. When they received the final warning one of them responded, “Shut up, shut up. I’m busy.”

  8. How long did it take the titanic to sink? • 2 hours 40 minutes • 11:40 pm- 2:20 am

  9. How was the movie similar to the real history • " The titanic's giant funnel did fall forward into the water"Yes. This scene in the movie accurately depicts Titanic history. “

  10. How was the movie similar to the real history • As the bridge of the ship sunk below the surface, the first funnel fell forward into the water, crashing onto some of the swimmers (in the movie, we see it crash down onto Jack's fictional friend, Fabrizio). “

  11. How was the movie similar to the real history • "The Titanic really did fall apart as it went under,yes. For years, whether the Titanic broke apart as it went under was a highly debated element of Titanic history.

  12. How was the movie similar to the real history • “Some survivors testified that the ship did break apart as it sunk, while others said that it went under intact."

  13. How was the movie similar to the real history • "Only two of the sixteen lifeboats went back to pick up survivors, and they ended up saving six“

  14. How was the movie similar to the real history • It is said that officer Murdoch killed himself after shooting two passengers on the boat

  16. How was the movie similar to the real history • The captain stayed on the ship because he thought it was his fault that the ship crashed.
