  2. Bad Memories Victor decides to quit Geneva. Victor leaves Geneva because of the bad memories that are attached to Geneva. Before leaving Geneva, Victor visits the cemetery which refreshes his hatred for the monster.

  3. Purpose of Living • Victor is sick and tired of the world, but he lives only to take revenge and destroy the monster. • Realizing that all his loved ones are dead because of the monster, Victor’s spirits lighten again. • Victor hates the day and starts loving the night because he could dream of his loved ones at night.

  4. Search for the Monster • One night, suddenly Victor hears the monster laughing and starts chasing him but the monster escapes. • When Victor loses track of the monster, he asks the people who live in the nearby villages.

  5. The Search Continues • In search of the Monster, Victor traverses through Rhone, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Tartary and Russia. • Monster leaves marks on trees and stones for Victor. • When Victor loses track of the monster, he asks the people who live in the nearby villages. • Some people tell him that a huge gigantic monster passed by with a gun and few pistols.

  6. Destiny Plays a Role • Victor is very disappointed because once again; he loses the monster and people tell him that the monster went into the ices where he would have died. • After few months, Victor happens to see the monster which made him more enraged and angry. • Before dying, Victor makes Walton promise that he would look for the monster and destroy him.

  7. The Return • Walton continues with the story. • Victor touches Walton deeply. • Walton totally believes Victor. • On the night of Victor’s death as Walton’s crewmen prepare to leave, the monster arrives.

  8. Regrets and Sorrow • When Victor dies, the monster realizes that now he has no connection to humanity. • The monster explains to Walton that he feels guilty for his actions, but also tells him about the brutal and harsh conditions he suffered. • In the end, the monster decides to commit suicide burning with his “father.”
