Vocab Thinking Maps • Get a BLANK sheet of paper. Draw a CIRCLE MAP. Be sure to draw the FRAME. • Task: Write one vocabulary WORD in the center of the map. Write the DICTIONARY DEFINITION and PART OF SPEECH immediately above the word.
Vocab Thinking Maps • PASS YOUR PAPER! • Task: Read the definition. • Task: DRAW an ILLUSTRATION OF THE WORD inside the circle where the arrow appears.
Vocab Review • PASS YOUR PAPER! • Task: Evaluate the ILLUSTRATION. Does it make sense with the definition? Add to it if necessary. • Task: Write in 2personal associations you have with the word where the red arrow appears.
