Finding Fire Hazards • Don’t put anything that can catch fire over an appliance, such as putting a towel over a toaster. • Never use matches or a lighter unless an adult has said it is ok and they are with you.
Finding Fire Hazards • Don’t play with electrical cords and never try to put anything into an electrical socket! • Don’t cook alone. Always make sure that an adult is with you!
Staying Safe • Make sure your home has a working smoke alarm in every room. • There should be at least one fire extinguisher in a place that you can easily get to it. • Plan an escape route with your family so you all no where to find each other in case a fire ever occurs.
Let’s see what we’ve Learned! • How many rooms in your house should have a working smoke alarm? • Three • Only the kitchen • Two • All of them
Sorry! • Let’s go back and read over the material again!
Good Job! • You saved your family and the firemen reached your house in time because you had a smoke alarm in every room!
