3. TURKEY EDUCATION AND LOVE ASSOCIATION (TESED)

4. TESED was founded by a group of teachers who devote themselves to education in 1999. TESED,whose name was “Association of Volunteers for Education” at the beginning;has then become “Turkey Education and Love Association.” ”Education” and “Love”,which are two inseparable halves of a whole,has added meaning to its name .

5. As a non-governmental organisation,TESED’s aim is to help Turkey make progress in a democratic environment and to make every contribution to Turkey’s educational,cultural and social development.With its nearly 1000 members who are teachers in public and private schools in Turkey,TESED aims at developing professional knowledge and skills between our members and volunteers,improving motivation and morale which teachers continuously need in education,taking necessary precautions before social problems appear and establishing love and trust ties.

In the light of mind and science,TESED’s members who are interested in Turkey’s problems and innovative has organised various educational,cultural,artistic and social activities.TESED also organises seminars,conferences,theatral activities,tours and courses for teachers,students,families,public and administrators.

8. “Our Children”ProjectAccording to protocol signed between TESED and local education authorities,our members give courses to students of primary school.With this Project,hundreds of successful students who didn’t have opportunity to support their education have attended colleges.

11. “Hold My Hand”ProjectThis Project has been carried on according to protocol signed between Ministry of TheInteriorandTESED. Withinthis project ,children who are disadvantaged because of rapid increase in divorce rates have been given psychological,psycho-social and academic support and educational and social activities have been organised for their families.

16. “Supporting Social Education”ProjectThis Project has been done on regional primary boarding schools. By this Project it is aimed to make children who suffer from lack of social interaction because they do not live with their families socialize,make them spend their weekends and holidays with useful and enjoyable activities, improve their interests and skills so that they can unite with other people and make positive contribution to themselves,their families,their community and environment,and become citizens who are at peace with themselves,their families and environment,tolerant,honest,virtuous,good and happy.
