4. Find the area of the parallelogram whose vertices are: (7, 1), (0, 4), (6, 2), (-1, 5) The area of the parallelogram is 4.
Application 2 – Collinearity of Points 5. Use a determinant to determine whether the points (2, 7), (-3, -3), (5, 13) are collinear. Since determinant is zero, the three points are collinear
6. Use a determinant to determine whether the points (1, -2), (-4, 1), (0, 3) are collinear. Since the determinant is non-zero, the three points are NOT collinear. They form a triangle whose area is 3.
