  2. Proper lawn care at an early stage is essential for making the new lawn flourish. If you are ordering any turf such as buffalo turf, premium turf or empire turf, you need to take special care of them. They are cut at theturf farm and delivered without much of a root system left on it. After laying the new lawn, the maintenance is required to ensure the survival of your new lawn.

  3. WATERING Water is the basic necessity for all new lawns, whether they are roll-on lawns or seed lawns. A good watering routine suiting the temperature of your region ensures a soft and flourishing lawn.

  4. FERTILIZING Mostly the new lawns are fertilized at the turf farm before the delivery. So, there is no need to fertilize new lawns for the first two months. You can use organic fertilizer products, such as processed manure or seaweed-based fertilizers or tonics can be lightly used.

  5. MOWING The first lawn mowing depends on upon the type of grasses like Wintergreen Couch, Nara, Palmetto, etc. Check whether the new lawn has firmly rooted into the soil. If the lawn stays fixed to the soil by its roots, it’s time to mow! A new lawn can have a good growth in the first few weeks if properly taken care of. Ensure not to remove too much leaf material in the first few mowings.
