  2. What is Glogster? • Glogster is a Web 2.0 online program that allows any person to literally create a “digital poster.” • Instead of a regular, “real-life” poster that can only show words and images, Glogster allows the creator to add text, images, sound, and videos!

  3. What are the benefits of Glogster? • As mentioned before, Glogster has the option of adding sound and videos to a digital poster; expanding the possibilities of projects. • Glogster can be logged into at any computer with access to the internet! What does this mean? Any group member can add onto the poster at any time, at their own house! It is still essential that the group meet to work on the digital poster together, but the group is not limited to this time period.

  4. What are the benefits of Glogster? • The program is very easy to use. You do not need a lot of background computer knowledge to create an interesting, informational Glog. • The Bentley students are here every Tuesday to answer any questions you may have dealing with the program, or any computer related question in general! • If a situation arises where you are unsure of how to add an item and we are not here to help, ask your teacher! Every teacher is able to contact the Bentley students through email at any time with any questions, and we will respond as soon as possible! • Don’t be afraid to ask! We, the Bentley students, are more than happy to help!

Neat things about a Glog • Every image has the option of enlargement, simply by clicking on it. • The creator of the Glog can choose to have videos automatically play when the viewer goes to the site, or give the viewer the option to click on the video to play. • Text boxes have a scroll button when there is more text than there is room in the boxhttp://kmsclusterchallenge.blogspot.com/.

  9. What is Animoto? • Animoto is another Web 2.0 application that allows any person to create a video by simply choosing which images, videos, and text to include.

  10. Benefits of Animoto • Creating a video can be very difficult with other applications. Animoto takes care of all the hard elements of creating a video, and makes the process as fast and simple as possible. • Many of you have already seen a video created by Animoto for the book fair last week. That video took 10-15 minutes to create, but attracted a lot of attention!

In Conclusion • Both an Animoto video and a Glog are great options to choose from when trying to decide on a visually appealing way to present a project. • Glogster saves money on materials, allows students to express their topic in several different ways (such as text, images, sound, and videos), and is easy to use! • Animoto makes a very difficult task such as creating a video into just a few simple steps. All it costs is a little bit of time!
