TheseusThe great Athenian Hero • Lineage: • Son of the Athenian King Aegeus. • Cousin of Hercules • Lover/User of Adriane • Symbol: He uses his power and strength to destroy evil. • Powers: Being a hero he has no special powers • Weaknesses : Forgetful. He forgot to change the colors on his sail after his victory over Minos. • Identification or description : He is identified with adventures, he had many over the years both successful and unsuccessful ones. • Important Events: He is credited as the founder of Athens democracy having willingly turned over the administration the people and being a good statesman and taking care of the country • Allusions to this character: Many allusions in prose and poetry • Euripides the stories of the appeal of Adrastus • The madness of Hercules and the fate of Hippolytus • Sophocles his kindness to Oedipus • Plutarch the story of his death

MinotaurA monster, half bull, half human • Lineage: • Offspring of Pasiphae Queen of Crete and a wonderfully beautiful Bull. • Half-Brother of princess Ariadne • Symbol : A white bull’s head mounted on a human body • Powers : Possesses a great amount of superhuman strength. It has hard sharp horns on its head. • Weaknesses: Can never find his way out of the Labyrinth • Identification or description :A white bull’s head mounted on a human body • Important Events: It can stated to be two things: • Its incarnation as a horror/fear • Waiting in the Labyrinth to be slain by Theseus • Allusions to this character: Only in Greek Mythology

CentaursCreatures with body of a horse with chest and face of a man • Lineage: Many variations found: • Descendants of Centaurs, son of Apollo and Stilbe • Son of Ixion, the king of Thessaly and the cloud Nephele, created by Zeus. • Symbol : Body of horse and chest and face of a man • Powers: Very Powerful bodies. • Weaknesses: Alcohol consumption • Identification or description: Body of horse and chest and face of a man • Important Events : The wedding of Theseus’s friend • Allusions to this character: In Greek mythology

AriadnePrincess of Crete • Lineage: • Father: Minos • Mother: Pasiphae • Sister Phaedra • Lover of Theseus • Loved by Dionysus • Symbol: A crown placed among the stars. • Powers: Obtaining the key to escape the labyrinth from Daedalus after slaying the Minotaur and thus helping Theseus. • Weaknesses: Betrayal to father in face of love • Identification or description: Princes of Crete. • Important Events : Helped Theseus find his way out of the labyrinth after killing the Minotaur by providing him with the thread. • Allusions to this character: In Greek mythology
