  7. Getting Ownership….. -walking before school idea – one principal’s method VS. the other.

  8. Doing Your Legwork….. - one-on-one conversations!

  9. Working With Diverse Opinions….. • LISTEN. • INCORPORATE.

  10. PASSION. PERSISTENCE. TRULY BELIEVE IN THE IDEA!!! • NO – change for change sake • Can our environment improve?

  11. REMEMBER….. - it is not what YOU think should happen, it is about getting OTHERS to think it will happen.

  12. Getting Consensus…. - emphasize what others say that you agree with and give them credit!!

  13. Try to get buy in from Key Leaders on the staff. Especially try to get support from senior staff members that might be threatened by technology.

  14. Let administrators know how the idea will financially work out. * Revenues * Expenses

  15. Have a curricular articulation/alignment plan P-12 ready to go!

  16. Have some “best practices” examples • What is the research???

  17. Visit Other Schools/Teachers To Get Ideas!!!

  18. Use your fellow participants here as a network to bounce ideas.
