Virginia Volunteer Health System Visual Manual for Applications Already Started
Thank you for your continued interest in the MRC! This application can be completed in one sitting, and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. You will need your driver’s license, medical license number (if applicable), and certifications (CPR/AED, First-Aid etc.) for the application. Once you are ready to complete the application, please go to www.vamrc.org and click on “VA Volunteer Health System”
Type in your Last Name, First Name, Street Address, and Zip Code to Access your Saved Application.
Please fill out all required areas within each section. Within the “volunteer details” tab, please include your email address as this is the primary means of contacting you. When adding your phone numbers be sure to indicate the numbers that you would like to have called during an emergency or nonemergency. You will be alerted based on your selections. Also include you date of birth, race, and sex. This information is required for your background check.
**Note on the credentials section**Please make sure you include your driver’s license number and medical license number. Your medical license (if applicable) is verified (daily) through the Department of Health Professionals. Your driver’s license is used to quickly verify your identity in the event of an emergency. Also, please include any certifications such as CPR, First-Aid etc.
**Note on the summary section** Please make sure you click the two boxes at the bottom of the page and then hit submit. You will receive an email stating that your application has been received. The Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator will verify your application and if approved you will be sent your username and a temporary password.
