Virginia Commonwealth UniversityVCU Health System Materials to Donors • Pledge cards, CVC/VCU charity flyer, and letter from President Trani that will arrive in eye-catching red envelopes • VCU and VCUHS employees will receive their packets through campus mail around October 1 • VCU and VCUHS will have separate cards • All employees receive pre-printed cards; blank cards are available from Debbie Fitzgerald or Marie Greenwood • Some VCUHS departments receive their cards directly via the vice chair 2008 Campaign Associate Training

Virginia Commonwealth UniversityVCU Health System Goals What a difference $2 makes…it provides: • Twelve uninsured, low-income individuals with a 30-day supply of medication • Four hours of basic literacy instruction • One complete health examination for one animal through the Henrico Humane Society • A half-hour of professional electrical work or a ceiling fan for a Habitat for Humanity home • Five Safety ID kits for disadvantaged children • Three days of affordable housing for a brain-diseased person • Two riding lessons for a disabled student • Two weeks of utilities for a senior citizen 2008 Campaign Associate Training

Virginia Commonwealth UniversityVCU Health System Campaign Associate Responsibilities Plan strategy for Personal Contact • Contact each person on your list to let them know you are their resource for any questions and to collect their pledge cards. • Make sure your colleagues know how to access the directory. • Encourage co-workers to payroll deduct and designate their contribution to an agency or agencies of their choice . • Make it easy to contribute by going to the contributor. • Remind co-workers of the to get donations in early. • Follow up throughout the campaign. • Don’t pressure. 2008 Campaign Associate Training
