The Fraunhofer Society – Applied Research • Yearly Research Volume: 1.9 Billion Euros* • From which about 1.6 Billion Euros is Contract Research* • More than 70% from income is generated • from projects with industry • from publicly financed research projects • Just under 30% of federal and local government support applies to approaching research. (The solutions to social and economic problems five or ten years in the future) People need health, security, energy, communication, environment and mobility.
